Overview

Studies in Geography (Prace i Studia Geograficzne) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies of the University of Warsaw. In years 1964-1977 the journal was known as the Studies in Geography of the Department of Geography of Warsaw UniversityStudies in Geography publishes the articles in the field of socio-economic and physical geography as well as those from interrelated sciences, such as environmental protection, spatial management, social science, economy, anthropology etc. The journal publishes original research papers – theoretical, empirical, methodical, and review-articles.

Following the example of prestigious scientific journals (including Annals of Tourism Research, Cities, Ecosystem Services, Journal of Historical Geography, Landscape and Urban Planning, Planning Theory, Turystyka Kulturowa) and their good practice of publishing, apart from reviewed scientific articles, also other papers – including reviews, polemics, scientific essays, discussions, reports on scientific events – we invite our readers to see all papers published in Prace i Studia Geograficzne divided into the following sections: Articles and studies, Reviews and reports, Scientific essays, Discussions and polemics, Memories and farewells. The editors reserve the right to evaluate submitted texts internally.
