Prof. Jędrusik specialises in regional geography and tourism geography, with a special focus on the phenomena and processes occurring in isolated areas and on the relationship between isolation and globalisation, especially on islands. His research interests also include contemporary global political processes and their impact on the societies and economies of individual countries. He has a particular interest in culinary geography.
He has conducted field observations and research in France, Greece, Cuba, Southeast Asia, Ethiopia, Gabon, the islands in the Indian Ocean (including Madagascar, the Maldives and the Mascarene Islands), the Lesser Antilles, Polynesia and Melanesia. He has also travelled to the United States, North Africa, Australia, New Zealand, China, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa and most countries in Europe. He has published two scientific monographs and about 100 original research articles in the fields of agricultural geography, tourism geography, regional geography and geography education as well as more than 50 popular science articles. He has authored or co-authored 10 textbooks and encyclopaedias. His works have been published abroad in India, France, Czechia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Taiwan and Martinique.
Prof. Jędrusik is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Miscellanea Geographica – Regional Studies on Development.” In addition to teaching, he has a passion for travelling, photography and regional cuisines. He enjoys spending his precious free time reading good crime fiction.

Dr Dudek-Mańkowska specialises in the study of social transformations in cities and the development of urban brands. She actively participates in scientific conferences and research projects, as well as various programmes, scholarships and research internships, including at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Charles University in Prague, Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier and the University of Vienna.
She has received numerous awards and honours in academic competitions, including a distinction in the competition for best doctoral dissertations awarded by the monthly “Samorząd Terytorialny” [“Local Government”] and an award in the “Nowoczesny Uniwersytet” [“Modern University”] Scholarship Competition for outstanding early-career researchers. She has authored numerous expert reports in the creative sector and in the fields of place marketing and urban brownfield remediation. Her favourite pastimes include theatre, gardening and working with border collies.

Assoc. Prof. Tsermegas is a geomorphologist whose scientific interests focus on natural and anthropogenic transformations of landforms, particularly the degradation of terraced slopes under Mediterranean conditions, the influence of endogenic processes on contemporary landscape evolution, and the morphological effects of the Olęder settlement in the Vistula Valley. She has conducted fieldwork primarily in Greece, which was the subject of both her doctoral and habilitation dissertations, and in cooperation with staff of the National University of Athens she participated in geomorphological and geographical workshops in various regions of Greece. She completed several research internships in Athens and Thessaloniki and has carried out joint research with two Greek research teams. She is the author of over 30 scientific publications as well as numerous contributions to field workshop materials and several articles popularising geographical knowledge. She has participated in many conferences and scientific seminars.

Dr Jolanta Korycka-Skorupa is a cartographer whose scientific interests focus on cartographic visualization. She studies how to present complex and multi-faceted information on maps in a clear and effective way. Her research includes user studies and analyses of map usability. She has been teaching for many years, actively promoting geography and cartography, and she genuinely enjoys her work. She has shared her knowledge and experience during her research stays in Norway, Spain, Lithuania, and the Czechia. She enjoys travelling with maps in hand, satisfying her curiosity about the world.
