Abstract: The article discusses the current patterns and trends of changes in the housing of the Sahel. A house and a way it is constructed connects social and ecological systems. The paper describes how traditional construction and material solutions are adapted to the changing needs of users. It highlights that maintaining connectivity with the local natural system promotes sustainable housing.
